Helping the local community by donating Christmas Hampers
Helping the community by donating Christmas Hampers to local care home
One of the new festive activities we are introducing to Cowley Academy is to give something back to the local community by creating ‘Christmas Hampers’ for the residents at the Gosberton House Care Home.
This is an opportunity for the whole school to get involved in this seasonal initiative to provide some festive cheer. As some of the elderly people at the Gosberton House Care Home may have no family or friends, this act of kindness will definitely be much appreciated at Christmas.
Each form will have the same sized box to dress in their very own Christmas theme, whether that is using wrapping paper or painting and decorating. Then students in each form are asked to donate an item to put in the hamper.
The Christmas hampers are scheduled to be delivered to the Gosberton House Care Home in the last week of term so everyone should bring in their donations by Monday 12th December 2022 at the latest.
