Sports Leaders deliver team building sessions for Primary School
A group of twelve Year 10 students who are studying the Sports Leaders award had the opportunity to deliver team building sessions for Years 3 and 4 students at The Donington Cowley Endowed Primary School.
The aim of the sessions is to use sport to develop and improve communication skills as well as creating a lifelong love of physical activity. Our Sports Leaders planned and led a variety of inclusive PE activities that were run over three separate days.
The Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership (CSL2) is a nationally recognised qualification that enables successful learners to lead safe, purposeful and enjoyable sport and physical activity under indirect supervision.
Mr James Brader, Head of PE who runs the Sports Leaders programme said “Our students were a credit to the school and displayed excellent leadership skills. Thank you to Donington Primary School for giving this opportunity to our students to widen their personal development.”
Well done to all of the following Sports Leaders: Seth Cook, Caitlin Cottingham, Kristyna Doades, Joe Douce, Harvey Draper, Ella Firth, Chloe Francis, Chris Hempsall, Lacie Holstead, Nicola Krajewska, Phoebe Minnards and Reece Parsons-Platt.
