Staff bake cakes to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support

When it comes to raising money for charity and the opportunity to have a slice of cake, the staff at Cowley Academy are always up for the challenge. Last month, the staff whisked, mixed, piped and baked (as well as ate) for charity by hosting a staff Macmillan Coffee Morning. The event raised over £85 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

There were plenty of showstopper cakes and bakes on display with something for everyone including fruity, traditional and chocolate varieties to choose from.

A special thank you goes to Mrs Bamber for helping organise the event, everyone who baked a cake and all the staff who made generous donations to buy a slice (or two).
