Messages from your Head of Houses

Banks House, I am thrilled to welcome you back to school for another exciting year of learning, growth, and discovery. Whether you’re returning with familiar faces or stepping into new classrooms, this is your fresh start—a chance to set new goals, embrace new challenges, and make unforgettable memories.

This year, you’ll explore new ideas, build stronger friendships, take part in new challenges and continue to grow into the best versions of yourselves. Your form tutors and myself are here to support you every step of the way, and we can’t wait to see the creativity, curiosity, and kindness you bring to the Banks House.

So let’s dive in with energy, enthusiasm, and a positive mindset. Let’s make this year one to remember!

Welcome back, Bass House!

I hope you all had an amazing summer and are feeling ready for the exciting year ahead. Whether you’re a returning student or a brand new Year 7, I’m looking forward to supporting you as your Head of House this year! A new school year means new opportunities to challenge yourself and get involved in everything our school has to offer. From making progress in lessons, to getting stuck into house competitions, joining clubs, ticking off Aspire Passport challenges, and more – there’s something for each of you. I can’t wait to cheer you all on and recognise your amazing achievements in our House Assemblies throughout the year. Let’s make it a year to be proud of!

Hello Cowley House,

It is my pleasure to welcome you back to Cowley Academy after a relaxing summer and a welcome to all of our new Year 7 students. As the new Head of House for Cowley House, I look forward to seeing you all make great progress throughout this academic year. I want to continue the great success we have had in house competitions and want to see as many of you taking part and representing our house as possible.

Welcome Back, Flinders!

I’m so excited to welcome you all back for a new year in Flinders House. A fresh term is a fresh start – a chance to set goals, challenge ourselves, and grow in new ways.

Each of you brings something unique to our house. Your talents, efforts, and spirit don’t just shape your own journey – they help us shape the House system.

This year, let’s aim high:

· Be the best version of yourself

· Be the best for each other

· Be the best for Flinders

Together, let’s make this a year where we stand tall – not just for what we achieve, but for the way we achieve it: with courage, pride, and determination.

Welcome back – let’s make it one to remember!

Dear Members of Swift House,

I extend a warm welcome to each of you as we begin a new academic term. I trust that your break provided valuable time for rest and reflection, and that you return refreshed and ready to embrace the opportunities ahead.

Swift House has long stood as a symbol of resilience, ambition, and unity. As we move forward together, I encourage every member to uphold these values in all aspects of school life — whether in the classroom, on the sports field, or within our wider community.

Let us continue to support one another, strive for excellence, and demonstrate the integrity and determination that define our House. I am confident that, with collective effort and spirit, Swift House will achieve great things this term.

Wishing you all a successful and fulfilling start to the year.
