University Forensic Science visit inspires careers and aspirations
To raise the aspirations of our Year 9 students, explore future career pathways in STEM and encourage students to discover what life is like at University, we arranged a visit for Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge to take part in a fascinating Forensic Science Discovery Day.
During the visit, students explored a simulated crime scene, carried out crime scene investigations, and took part in blood spatter analysis, giving them a hands-on insight into how science is used to uncover the truth.
The day also included a campus tour and an introduction to university life, allowing students to experience what studying at a university is really like and to learn about future pathways into science and STEM-related careers.
The visit was an inspiring opportunity to broaden students understanding of higher education as well as developing their scientific thinking skills by taking part in practical activities.
